Couldn´t get in to the Nick Cave album at all, but if you´re looking for something familiar, anything by the Tindersticks. Just getting through their first few albums. Brilliant stuff altogether. Shades of the Bad Seeds, Deus, etc.

Superb.

Cave’s best song for me.

Sorrow’s Child.

In the middle of that album right now. Great stuff. I only have one of their albums, and must check out their brand new one soon. Coming to Ireland next year as well. NCH.

Must check that out.

I grew up with Tindersticks due to older brothers.

The first three albums are superb, with the first being the best, second next etc.

I kinda lost them after that but what I heard wasn’t as strong.

Kind of Iron Maiden syndrome maybe? In theory, one album sounds like every other album…

Yes.

That’s why the first album is best for me. It’s a double album as their debut!!

So much variation with heavy guitars in some instances (‘Whiskey and Water’ for instance) and the chamber pop stuff.

Second album was all chamber pop as was the third album, and were excellent, but it became a tired format thereafter.

Just came across this Dub group Versatile. Jesus. Muck.
