Went to see MBV in Manchester. After the 10 minute āholocaust sectionā they departed the stage. We asked a security man if theyād be returning. He looked at us as though we were mad and replied in the broadest Mancunian accent imaginable āI fooking hope not!ā. Made my night.
Anyhow, if anyone posts a finer modren song than this today Iāll be aghast. A sumptious piece of work.

Sunday Bloody Sunday always worked better as a straight ahead rocker than it did on the more pedestrian album version
