The Snooker Thread (Part 1)

Selby has the icy demeanour of a serial killer.

He’s taken the first frame of this evening’s session with a ridiculously good 128 break to lead Ding 10-7.

Selby missed a red with the rest there and again left nothing even though the cue ball split up a few more reds.

He is equal parts skill and pox.

Not watching.

Hon Ding

He finally left one and Ding is on 64 and counting…

Applause from the knowledgeable Crucible crowd as Ding sinks the black which leaves Selby needing a snooker.

10-8.

Ding with a high quality 95 break.

Ah Jaysus Ding.

Ding hasn’t the mental toughness. All those lads are the same

Terrible positional shot by Ding on that red with the frame at his mercy.

He may have thrown this frame away from 59-0 up.

Selby’s trademark mental weakness comes back to bite him.

10-9.

Ding missed a straightforward black off the spot there. Selby in at the minute but is just out of position.

He’s pulled a pot out of nowhere.

Guys, who’s the best player with the rest in the world at the moment?

Jimmy White, I’d say.

He generally only pots balls with the rest these days.

He was sensational with the rest in his day.

I would say Barry Hawkins is the best of the rest.

I’m surprised John Virgo is surprised Ding would come back to the table at 60 behind with 51 on the table.

One snooker back already.

I’m surprised Ding has conceded after accidentally potting that red.
