The Snooker Thread (Part 1)

The luck of the Irish.

Great stuff Ken:clap:

Ken is playing good 92% pot success in last few frames

9-5 Ken

Ken wins 10-5

Well done Ken

Hon Ken!

Great win for the Ranelagh (pronounced “Ren-a-la”) man.

Great win not many seen that coming

Ding Junhui in a real scrap here. Michael Wasley has just cut the deficit to 8-7.

In the battle of the Celtic fans, Alan McManus has won 5 frames on the trot to lead 5-1. John Higgins has been horribly out of sorts so far.

That match will finish 10-1.

John was telling me.

Ken would be more suited to McManus

One Fenian is guaranteed for the quarter-finals whatever happens.

Mark Selby edges home 10-9 over Michael White. Ding Junhui and Michael Wasley 9-9 and currently playing a deciding frame.

Wasley flukes the last red and Ding is surely out, Needs a snooker on the pink.

Unlucky in the final frame Ding but after being 6-3 up, that’s an appalling defeat.

Ding laid three snookers but Wasley got out of them all and Ding couldn’t get fourth time lucky.

Alan McManus wins the first frame of the morning to extend his lead on John Higgins to 7-3.

Bloody hell - some amount of 10-9 results.

Yeah, 2 on Sunday night and another 2 last night. McManus 8-3 up now.

John Higgins 4-9 Alan McManus

Looks very much like a repeat of the result of their 1995 first round clash.

Pains me to say it but I think John may be done as a top player.

Still, he will always be able to say he had the last laugh on the News Of The World.
