Judd Trump 5 Marco Fu 3

Cheers for the updates gents.

Day’s play completed.

Shaun Murphy 12 Joe Perry 4
Judd Trump 10 Marco Fu 6

Has someone from a non English speaking country/former British colony ever won this?

Terry Griffiths

Shaun Murphy beats Joe Perry 13-5

Trump takes a commanding 12-7 lead over Fu, one more frame needed by the Bristol potter.

You’d feel for those with tickets for today’s afternoon session. Not seeing much action

The first quarter finals are underway and Judd Trump leads Ding 1-0 while Shaun Murphy has taken the opening frame against Anthony McGill.

Seven of the eight top seeds have made it to the quarter finals. Neil Robertson V Barry Hawkins and the all-Essex tie of Ronnie O’Sullivan and Stuart Bingham round out the last eight.

Murphy has just rattled in a 125 to go 2-0 up.

Ding was going for a 147 in the third frame but missed a straightforward red, Trump stepped in and cleared up and is 3-0 up. Murphy leads McGill 2-1.

Ding is far too flaky to ever win this title.

Trump looks in great nick, a 94 break put him 4-0 up he is about to make it 5-0. The Chinese number 1 has no answer to this onslaught.

Ding has started off slow in every match but he wouldn’t want to give this cunt too much rope.

Lovely century from Ronnie there

Ronnie trebles a awkward red, sensational!

Controversy raging here as Ronnie places his chalk on the table
