Its incredible to think after beating Stephen Hendry on debut in 2000, he failed to even qualify for 6 of the next 7. Not many comparables in any sport of career journeyman to world champion at such a late stage in his career.

He knocked out Ronnie in the quarters, Robertson in the semis and came from 8-4 behind to beat the form man in the final. Nobody can deny Stuart Bingham this, a memorable victory for the likeable Basildon potter.
