147 on here. 2 reds 2 blacks for Ronnie O’Sullivan.
Breaks down after the second black.
John Higgins is at least assured of not losing this session.
16-11.
Ronnie O’Sullivan completes a 17-11 victory over John Higgins.
This new presenter chap on Eurosport talking about the possibility of Ronnie winning his 8th world title on Monday.
There’s a blast from the past. The unmistakable dulcet tones of Michael McMullan on player post match interview duties at the Crucible.
Trump 11/10
Ronnie 8/11
Judd a bit of value
Ronnies been miked up the whole tournament for some documentary. That could be interesting
Please the gods, Ronnie trumps Trump.
Nothing quite like watching an epic World Snooker semi final played out over 3 days at the Crucible.
You can’t beat a slow burner in sport like a Crucible classic or a test cricket match over 5 days that goes down to the last few overs.
Contrast that with Championship hurling and football which is akin to something like 20/20 cricket now with penalty shoot out lotteries on the day.
His safety verses Trumps long potting.
Just watching the replay of the last frame. That double across the table from Trump
One of the greatest sporting contests of all time
There’ll be few contests more compelling in any sport in 2022 than what Trump v Williams served up over the last 3 days.
In or about, yes. If Ronnie wins, his extraordinary ability with middle pocket pots will probably be decisive.
I love Ronnie. By far my favourite sportsperson after various hurlers. Watching Ronnie O’Sullivan going well is like reading F Scott Fitzgerald.
The great thing about the World Snooker Championship at the Crucible is virtually nothing about it has changed since I first watched it in 1988.
The format remains exactly the same bar the change to best of 33 from best of 31 in the semi-finals.
The only really noticeable changes are the departure of Embassy as sponsors and the watered down version of the BBC theme music.
But we can live with those.
I heard talk rearing its head on Eurosport again during the week about changing the venue and the format.
Why on earth would you change perfection?
The Uk was a fantastic tournament before they started meddling with it.
Preston Guild Hall was one of the great cathedrals of sport.
Ronnie will win 18-14
I always felt the Embassy World Bowls championship lost something when it left the Guild Hall and moved to Norfolk.
