Ronnie guaranteed an overnight lead

Itā€™s just as well for Judd that he has already won the World Championship, because if he keeps this up, itā€™s the sort of thing that could ruin a career.

Jesus thatā€™s unlucky. Feel sorry for him.

Huge frame for Trump.

Thatā€™s much better. That last red he knocked in from an acute angle was his best shot in the match for some time.

Blow it up ref

A distinct possibility now of the final been won with a session to spare. 1993, I think was the last time that happened.

I think that one was over by the time I got home from school that day.

Majestic from Ronnie

Jimmy went out on a bender until 7am on the Sunday morning of the 1993 final. With the benefit of hindsight that might not have been the most ideal of preparation.

24 hours later Manchester United were doing the same thing, it famously ended with Bryan Robson doing the dishes in Steve Bruceā€™s house.

But Blackburn Rovers were less stiff opposition than Stephen Hendry.

Did Brucie not have a dishwasher?

The long time England captain was all about work rate and honesty of effort on and off the pitch.

Taking Ronnie thirty years to do what Hendry did in 10. Hendry still the GOAT for me. For a lad who keeps telling us he doesnā€™t like snooker, Ronnieā€™s been doing it for quite a while.

The side of that is that Ronnie has had longevity and Hendry crashed and burned more or less after 10 years.

One could argue Ronnieā€™s longevity is down to the decline of snooker. Three of this yearā€™s semi finalists were in in their prime when Hendry was most dominant.

Iā€™ll go over with you :hammer:

Ah they werenā€™t. They were in their prime in 00s and Ronnie wiped the floor with Hendry in two semis. Beat him 17-4 in 2004 and 17-6 in 2008. Hendry readily accepts that Ronnie is the greatest. Only minority of Hendry fans dont accept it.
