The Sport of Kings and Equine Matters part ix

Distance, he’s a very fast horse. Bit of a short runner too I’d say but a lovely horse

Ah he was unlucky there looking at it again

Yeah twas steep, Megan stuck the boot in there! Lulamba to 3 miles lads

Henry is some man to train a 2m chaser too.

He wasn’t jumping well in any case and didn’t look very settled around the turns especially

Finds it hard to jump at pace. Big one for Nicholls there next at Taunton, one of his better youngsters up next. Blueking ran a super race, Read the stable tour and PFN had no confidence in him

I must give credit, Josh Toole said Mange Tout would win the Garde 1 aat aintree weeks ago and kept saying it.

My thoughts exactly.

If I owned him I’d go two miles until he’s beaten

As close to an armchair ride as you’ll see

Wonderful stuff, rider is a cocky little shit too!

Good day for Gordon. Harry Skelton missed a trick there though

Fergal O’Brien continues the good form. Noel Fehily talking like he does the training there now

I’d say Fergal is gonna go down the ruthless Skelton route for a couple of seasons. He’d a long odds on drift to odds against beaten by a heavily gambled on stablemate the other day. Was a bit of controversy on X about it.

I can’t blame him, he’ll forever be in the middle of the pack otherwise.

At the level he is at, he should not have to resort to that.

There’s some serious drifts on his horses the days I’m home and I play, and they’re usually pretty accurate. I’d agree but it’s an ability in itself I suppose

Jonjo doing more with less these days. No small feat to win back-to-back

Was Landers saying anything about Starting Fifteen for Aintree on the podcast lately?
