The Sport of Kings & Equine Matters 🐐

What a performance from Burn and Turn there, really blew them all away…

Heading for Punchestown tomo - anyone else going ?

Hard to see The Fly getting turned over. Looking forward to the novice hurdle - has the potential to be a cracker.

Any of those hot tips for the bumper come in?

champion is devoid of pace. that rules binocular out. Fly and menorah will benefit most from this. Menorah represent an ew bet to nothing at 4s. Was ‘wong’ in champion hurdle. Whether a 100 percent menorah is capable of troubling the fly is another thing, but id be confident that he’ll chase him home.

Im convinced so young is a stayer based on neptune. I think First Lieutenant has more basic speed and will beat him again tomorrow. I reckon he’ll be a good price as punters will go fo ruby.

I’ll be there DB. Am trying to pick holes in The Fly at the moment but struggling to find any. The only thing I can come up with is that he’s never run more than 4 times in 1 season before and there’s a small chance he may be over the top. Clutching at straws in the extreme.

that argument was used to undermine his chances in champion hurdle. He looks bomb proof but menorah camp are making right noises, they seem confident of a big run. if ye can get 5-4 without, he is a great bet.

6-4 w/o with Powers at the moment.

massive price. thats one of the bets of the year.

Did anyone see Pat Keane from the Examiner interviewed on RTE about the rubbish pricing up of races? He basically said most lads pricing races for some firms were mugs and slated certain firms for not laying certain good bets.

Does anyone give Binocular a chance tomorrow http://www.thefreekick.com/board/public/style_emoticons/default/dry.gif

he is 100% correct. Layers just want the ‘mug’ punter and are driving the decent punters to the exchanges.

if there was a decent pace ensured it would have being a most interesting race. I have not drawn a line through him. i still believe that when he has his conditions, he is a serious animal. His reversal in aintree would not concern me as he just did’nt stay.

what will you be wearing mac ? I’ll introduce myself if I see you

I’ll be the fella not in a suit and not roaring home Hurricane Fly after having €5 on him.

Oh I agree, he was dead right. This crack of going into the like of Boyles and having them refuse you a handy bet is bullshit.

Mac will be wearing a flat cap.

Brian Cooper seems to be in a bit of form at the moment. Was 2nd on his 3 rides today, placed yesterday, the day before, and a winner each on the 2 days before that. Has 2 rides tomorrow. Hangover and Frisco Depot. Frisco Depot beat Shot From the Hip last time out although this race would be a completely different level of class. Hangover has regressed a lot this season but if he can reproduce his Thyestes form from last year then 25/1 is a massive price.

Also Tyners one in the Fillies Bumper tomorrow is worth backing, price will be short enough I would say. Impressive in her wins in Limerick and beaten by Samain last time out who’s held in the same regard as Lovethehigherlaw in Mullins stable apparently.

Was there today, deserted my old friend quevega for mourad @ 6s ew, Katie gave them too much respect, had a reasonable bet on sweeps hill without and glad she was withdrawn, don’t think he would have spilt them as it turned out

Was strong word for kielys in the bumper and was never mentioned, not a happy days punting

If wishful thinking stays in tomorrow the greatjohnbrowne has a lovely weight

Wouldn’t be so sure lieutenant will hold so young, latter made 2 bad mistakes in che and rain will help, will be closer
