George Costansaâs fault no doubt, lazy fooker.
would have a gra for the stadia too. think someone had a thread here before about all the stadiums been to.
a few pics I took in boston. got a young one to drive me out to Foxboro to see Gillette Stadium. there was no one there, and I was just wandering around. I walked in and got up to the second floor level where all the directors boxes and Kraft family offices are. the scale model picture was from there. I hopped over a gate into the ground outside, but pictures wouldnt have been great.
was in Fenway too. again, not on a tour or anything. it was closed, and young one on receptioon said sheâd bring me through. Went in through the offices and met a couple of players who were in for contract signings as it was off season. stadium was covered in snow too, really surreal sight.
have heaps more photos around of other stadia too. too lazy to go look for them now, and prob not worth it either!
What I got from that GMan was that you convinced two wrapped two wimin around you finger, to go look at stadiums. SmoothâŚ

I liked the SCG the couple of times I was there, not the classiest stadium by any means but had a nice charm to it:
Iâm sure they cribbed the design from elsewhere but I think Huddersfieldâs (then) McAlpine Stadium was quite revolutionary in design when it was built in '94 and those banana-shaped stands are now built regularly elsewhere.
I just thought I should mention 2 of the worst stadia I have ever been in. I was thoroughly underwhelmed by the new Wembley and Croke Park is very poor too.
ha, yeah, suppose I did alright. the foxboro one was a bit weird tho, had to spend a day going around Boston with her (hence why it was dark when I got there), so bit of sacrifice there. the other one I did work a bit of charm alright. good craic tho!

What the fook is stopping the GGA from finishing the thing? Is it the railway line or is it a preservation order on Hill 16?
Some of my favourites that I have been to outside these shoresâŚ

railway line and right to light issue for residents of Clonliffe road. if you are in a dwelling for 20 years or more, you cant block natural sunlight to it with a new development.
Did you know that the Yankees donât wear cotton?
Thought so, IarnrĂłd Ăireann donât seem to be any good with developments underneath their lines, Iâd hate to think of developments above their lines.
Intresting stuff though, it would be nice to see them build a curved roof dipping down to accomadate the lower down Hill 16 because it does just have a horrible unfinished look about it.
itâd be great alright if they incorporated a station within it, and there was some plans proposed alright, but I think the residents thing was a bigger issue.
Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis is my favourite ânewâ NFL stadium. Looks good both inside and out:

Lucas Oil Stadium is based on this - the Indiana State Fair Coliseum - built in 1939 and former home of the Indiana Pacers.

Hinkle Fieldhouse in Indianapolis built in 1928 is another fine basketball arena:

Thatâs a painting Sidney
I like the look of a lot of the Baseball stadiums. Pity the sport itself is crap.
Wrigley Field is AFAIK the oldest still standing stadium structure in America
