A joke.

Tomic girlfriend complaining that the worst part of quarantine is that she has to wash her own hair. Said she has never washed her own hair its not something she does.

Krygios just doesn’t give a fuck :grinning:

Australian Open draw is advantage Medvedev. I’m backing him to win it out.

Djokovic is to due to meet Zverev in the quarters and both should advance if they are on their game, Zverev is very flaky so always susceptible to a shock but his slam performances were solid last year on hard courts with a semi final appearance in Australia last year and final appearance in the US. Raonic/Wawrinka could potentially ask questions of Djokovic in R4 but you’d imagine Djokovic would need a serious offday. Thiem will likely wait in SF.

Thiem has a few potential banana skins in the early rounds with Kyrgios a possibility in R3 and Dimitrov/Cilic/Nishikori/Carreno Busta in R4 but he has Schwartzman as the other top 8 player in his side who is a level below the rest of the top 8 for me. Shapovalov is probably the biggest threat for Thiem before then and I’d expect him to go further than Schwartzman

Medvedev has a very nice draw - can’t see any bother before the quarters for him where Rublev is a potential threat and I can see him just having too much for him. Nadal/Tsitsipas then lie in wait in the semi most likely.

Nadal and Tstitsipas should get to the quarter if they are on their game, no real standout threats for them before then. A bit like Zverev, Tsitsipas is very flaky but if he brings his A game is a major contender here.

Medvedev at 4/1 is very enticing.

Australian Open starting tonight. Couple of cracking first round matches Thiem\Kukushkin, Dimitrov\Cilic and Shapovalov\Sinner. Can’t wait.

No real shocks on day 1.

Sinner looks like he will take set 1 against Shapovalov.

Great seeing crowds in the stands. Sinner playing well here. Djokovic looks to be cruising up a set and up 4-0 in the second set.

What a backhand pass by sinner. Think he could win this one.

Shapovalov looks on course to come home in 4 sets. Impressive victory for him.

Bautista Agut out today in a minor shock.

Goffin also gone but I would rate him pretty lightweight anyway.

Nadal, Medvedev and Rublev all through, Tsitsipas currently in action and looks set to join them.

17 year old Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz wins on his slam debut in straight sets. The next Nadal?

That was impressive turn around by Shapovalov. Sinner was playing great stuff and was well on top when I was watching and Shapovalov was struggling.

Alcaraz is the youngest player to win a slam match in 7 years.

Who was the last person before him. I would have thought Zverev but he was 18 when he won his first slam game.

Would you believe it was Thanasi Kokkinakis in 2014.

Doesn’t bode well for young Alcaraz.

Wawrinka gone.

Djokovic had it tougher than expected today. Thiem and Shapovalov through comfortably.

Won a 3rd set tie break that put hims 2-1 up when he could have been 2-1 down.

Kyrgios currently in action with Zverev yet to play.

Kvitova gone in the ladies. Halep a set down and 3-2 down in the second.

Humbert a set up. Kyrgios is up a break in the second. Hard to know with Kyrgios keeps blowing hot and cold.

Kyrgios wins the second set to level up the match. Some controversy with the net sensor going off when is clearing the net on the serve. Kyrgios is asking for it to be turned off.

Kyrgios 2 sets to 1 down and a break down in the 4th.
