There was another Italian chap that used to post here @Cicero_Dandi who used to claim the Davis Cup was the second biggest event in tennis. Borna Coric won his singles match in the 2018 Davis Cup final as Croatia beat France. Hard to achieve much more that that in tennis really using the @Cicero_Dandi ratlonale. He could nearly retire on the back of that with a career fulfilled.

I think you still seem to be conflating team sport with individual sport.
Good chance for the new gen of Sinner and Alcaraz to make good inroads here.
Alcaraz with a really tough task of beating Berrettini tomorrow but if he can pull that off you’d expect him to have a decent chance of a semi final spot.
Sinner meanwhile would be hot favourite to earn a QF showdown with Tstisipas.
