What an incredible night for Australian tennis. A 44 year drought ended in scintillating fashion by the Barty Party with a straight sets demolition of Danielle Collins. Our Ash didn’t drop a set all tournament!

Based on the early exchanges, Nadal can’t hit through him and can’t outlast him. The fundamental tactical problem that Nadal has is, the dividends that he often yields in peppering and breaking down the backhand of the right handlers is not going to work against Medvedev.
