Amazing you don’t afford rafa such sympathy when he’s injured…
Nadal usually cites injury as an excuse when he loses or when he quits on his chair if he’s getting beaten particularly badly.
Needle always comes back winning after bad injuries, must be some treatment he’s getting…
Just like Federer who came back after knee surgery in his mid 30s to win 3 slams in 12 months after looking like he was finished before it.
Oh wait, you’re a hypocrite.
Fed had the good Grace to wait until he was past his prime. Needle has been doing it for years even in his prime.
Sweep, sweep.
Nadal has shown us in the past he is mortal with his injuries and how sometimes his body breaks down.
Federer’s body breaks down for the first time in his career in his mid 30s when he looks finished and he comes back and wins 3 slams in 12 months.
From the French open in 2011 to the Aussie open on 2017 he won one slam. He’s won 3 of the last 11 slams in his mid to late 30s and unlucky not to win a 4th. Very unusual.
He won 3 slams out of 5 straight after returning from the only injury he had in his career, this in his mid 30s when he had looked finished.
But Fedheads are more concerned with a guy who has persistently battled tendinitis in his career and has always had to manage the amount of hard court tennis he plays in a given season and miss many big tournaments as a result.
Things look to have worked out perfectly for Federer as he will have a huge amount of recovery time over his next opponent due to the rain which has thwarted any action on the outer courts.
Borna Coric’s back injury getting discussed and Nadal super fan @anon32894817 goes off on a tangent talking about Nadal. Nadal fans are an odd and very needy lot. They can’t bear it when their man is not the centre of the tennis discussion.
He’s just highlighting your double standards, something you’re not comfortable with.
I merely mentioned your lack of sympathy for nadal when it comes to injuries
Djokovic getting it put up to him by Londero here
Londero goes three up in the second set, serving now. Nole won the first 6-4.
Only 4 games completed with the rain yesterday.
Going to be a busy day today and quite possible we’re going to have a number of players back in action very shortly after their second round games.
Big advantage for the likes of Federer, Djokovic and Nishikori.
Dominik Koepfer (5ft 11) has beaten Reilly Opelka (7ft) in straight sets.
England’s Dan Evans (all 5ft 9 of him) through to the third round as well after beating Lucas Pouille in four sets.
Evans is a drug cheat.
Zverev looks set to be advancing from another 5 setter, building up a bit of character and grit?
Giraffes have a much better record on the mud courts of Wimbledon
You must have missed giraffe watch here at the All England Club last month. It was a slaughter of the giraffes.
