My mother met and was talking to him at some event 30-odd years ago. Apropos of nothing he pulls an autographed photo of himself out of his jacket and hands it to her.

Wrote a couple of great songs and was fortunate to have them gilded by Luke Kelly. Bar that he always came across as having his head wedged up his hole, a common trait for songwriters
