I’ve 100% seen Snowdonia from Cahore Point. But inland I’d say it’s hard to call.
Galteemore has a huge one. I’d imagine it’s a coastal one though.

Yep . Park up outside the village hall and walk out the road past the shop, 10 mins will bring you to the path on your right. It’s after a farm roadway beside a farmhouse. ( don’t go up that one!)

The Galtees have to be the most beautiful set of mountains in the country aesthetically.
I’ve only been up to the top of Galtee Mor twice to my shame.
I dunno.
It’s hard to beat coming over the hill outside Castleisland and seeing the MacGillacuddys stretched out before you

Where did you go up from? How hard is it? How long did it take up and down? Would it be suitable for an 11 year old and a 14 year-old? I’m in the maharees near castlegregory at the moment and have a day to fill. Ta.
The route from the Faha Grotto carpark just outside Cloghane is the the route. It’d probably take 4-6 hours depending on fitness/willingness to push on. You walk up into a valley along side a series of small lakes and then at the end of the valley there is a short but strenuous section up to the ridge. A bit loose and the hands might be called into action now and then for balance but if the young 'uns are used to a bit of hiking twill be no bother. There is a much easier route called the Saint’s Road from the western side of the mountain but it wouldn’t have the same level of scenery imo.
