Good reason for those odds dodgy. Cork and Kerry were arguably the 2 best squads in the country and most tournaments/challenges and college competitions indicated Tipp were organised but well behInd.

Because they’re proven All-Ireland winners at both senior and under-21 levels and a couple of wins will bring them on hugely.
U21 is irrelevant and they only won the senior because Tipp and Kilkenny were poor that year. They beat a Limerick team who collectively shit themselves and took two days to beat a poor Cork team
People were writing up Kilkenny’s performance against Wexford. Tonight showed what that performance was worth.
If Tipp win the Munster final they’ll be sitting ducks in the semi-after a five week gap.
Clare with regular hurling under their belts will be ideally placed to ambush them in such a situation and they might well have enough to take Kilkenny too if they met them.
Don’t get the widespread pessimism that it’ll be another Kilkenny-Tipp final. Loads of hurling to be played yet and things can change very easily.

Cork not bad but it’s a brand new team, so not the best side around. Limerick are allowed pick senior players so have a distinct advantage.
