The Thread that was once about GAA Betting in 2015

Haha

I’m not comparing club and county.

dude you are chopping and changing .at leats Now you will see the idea of the qualifiers is to give teams a second chance instead of thinking its something it was never meant to be. A lot of club championships don’t have that cushion.

I’m not. I haven’t compared club to county. I’m steadfast here as YOU try to change the goalposts.

dude, you are complaining about the structure of one championship while simultaneously ignoring the exact same structure in another.

Club and county are not the same.

the structure are the same bar the lack of a universal qualifiers system in a club championship.

I have advocated the retention of the provincial system in County football. I have argued that the qualifier system should aim to redress the imbalance of it.

I advocate the provincial system in club football. I don’t think it is practical to have a qualifier system in provincial club football due to fixture congestion issues however.

So what?
Glen Rovers did the same.
Ballincollig last year.
Sars last year

Etc etc.

You have made a clown of yourself.

The only team that might win the AI from Ulster is Cross.
Several Leinster teams could win it.
3-4 Connacht teams could win it.
2 or 3 Munster teams.

Thats the reality.

How am I a clown? You’re the one saying Cork has one of the best Championships in the country despite the fact that none of their teams have done anything at national level in over 20 years.

You are saying it is superior to Derry despite the fact that Derry has provided the same spread of winners as Cork in that time period and has produced five different provincial winners and one All Ireland. Please explain that one to me as I’m baffled by it. Outside Dublin, the Derry County Championship is the toughest to win, there is a high spread of winners who go on to make the business end of the All Ireland - only Dublin and possibly Galway and Mayo can rival that in the past 20 years.

Ballinderry won Ulster in 2014 and gave Vincent a tougher game than Castlebar managed in the final.

Slaughtneil won Ulster last year and were runners up in the final.

Slaughtneil, Kilcoo and Cross have a far better chance of winning an All Ireland club this year than any team in Munster, you brainless idiot.

On what basis could 2 or 3 teams from Munster win it and only one from Ulster when no team from Munster has won it in 20 years and three from Ulster have?

Good post mate. Maybe you should consider posting it in an actual betting thread.

Wow.

To come back to this.

Ulster teams do well in the All Ireland. In the past three seasons we’ve taken up 11/24 qf spaces. It is hard for a Derry team to do it back to back though in Ulster as the Derry Championship is very attritional and exhausting.

Just like it has been tough for Donegal to follow up one good season with another. Conversely Crossmaglen can tailor their game to peak for Ulster every year - likewise can a team like Kilcoo.

Too shit scared to open your mouth now aren’t you?

No just laughing at your utter ignorence and contradictory nature.

You have been the one displaying those traits, mate - not me.

Nah nah your pants is on fire

You’re the one who claimed the Cork and Kerry championships were the toughest after Mayo and Dublin but you failed to offer anything concrete. I clamped you and you went running for the hills as usual.

It’s something I noted since I joined here in 2014.
