How many have Tyrone teams won?
How is it average at best?
Crossmaglen won 6 out of their 10 attempts at an All Ireland having progressed through Ulster.
They have won 10 out of 24 attempts at Ulster.
And if you condense that down to the glory years - 10 out of 18 attempts at Ulster.
I know sums are a weak point for you, but Jesus Christ.
No but they had a serious side for a whike. Rahillys and 'Haven similar but something held them back.
I don’t see your point. Derry regularly throws up different winners and these teams go on to capture provincial titles and challenge for All Irelands. This shows the higher level of club football played in Derry in comparison to Cork.
Only one Cork team has been successful in the weakest province in the past 20 years. They have also won 8 Cork titles in that period.
How does that reflect on Cork having a stronger championship than Derry?
What? They did win all Ireland. I don’t get what your saying here Kev. You don’t seem to rate the highly as teams like portlaoise and KIB, man.
We’re not talking about Tyrone, the Tyrone championship is competitive but lacks top quality teams
Less shite talk, more betting advice please
Just curious how many Ulster titles have they won in the last 20 years?
Errigal won few when Canavan was about.
Carlow should just give up inter county football altogether.
It looks like they already have from that scoreline
could it not be the same way as your Ulster theory at county level? some county championships are harder to get out of than others so too much energy is expended resulting in team suffering at a national level.
I do rate them. But my point was i thought at the time they would become a great side like Vinnies, Crokes etc. They didn’t and kinda faded quick enough.
Crokes did not win one either, that doesn’t mean they weren’t a better team than some that did. Timing is everyting.
Ah ffs, i was hoping we’d hold off on that till he inevitably backed himself into a real corner.
Cork is basically 2 championships. One between april & july is almost like a qualifier phase.
Well Derry is the toughest county Championship by and far in Ulster.
I think the acid test is how many teams in a county are capable of competing at a national level. Derry have an abundance of them.
Slaughtneil won the county championship coming through the backdoor this year. They were saved from going out of the Championship by a contested last minute free against Magherafelt. They won last year’s Derry Championship by a last minute goal.
It’s a tough slog to get out of Derry because there is an abundance of teams around the same level and whoever wins Derry usually goes on to do well. Arguing in the face of facts is pointless.
The Derry Championship pisses all over Cork and Kerry.
You’re a clueless fucker.
Slaughtneil won the Derry Championship this year coming through the backdoor and kept their place in the Championship by scoring with the last kick of the game v Magherafelt.
You clearly have no knowledge on Derry so keep your misinformed opinions to yourself.
Back to the betting…
Bruree play Monaleen this weekend in the semi final of the Limerick Premier Intermediate replay. Bruree were 8/13 for the drawn game and the 4/5 offered on them now is value. They’ll improve from last week. Monaleen very dependent on ALTC. Bruree will win this.
For the football final Drom/Broadford are 4/5. They’ve won bucket loads of county titles, battle hardened and experienced. Might throw them in as part of a double with the one above. €20 pays out around €64. NCW going well this year though. Won’t be much in it either way, sneaky tenner on the draw could be prudent here.
So the hard slog suits club teams but not county teams?
I didn’t say that.
I said winning Derry is a tough slog, nothing about perceived advantages or disadvantages. Derry teams do well because they are good.
Why are Ulster teams disadvantaged in the championship then, are they not good?
