My brother smoked for years.
He gave them up around four years ago.
Cold turkey. Allen Carrās book was his inspiration.
He said it took a hell of a lot of willpower plus a few slips here and there to come through.
It goes to show the bullshit that are those patches, gum etc.
Weāre all human. Shure the fella from the no smoking ad said the toughest thing was trying to bip out for a smoke while they were shooting the ad.

My grandmother would smoke 40 a day of them, 60 on occasions with drink
When asked when did she start smoking, she said she had her first cigarette at 9 but didnāt start smoking properly until 12.
She died at 93

You should try to keep it below 20 a day, just to be on the safe side
My neighbour lost his wife and son in separate road accidents.
He chain smokes, I heard that he gave an extra 50 euro with his pension for smokes for the week.
Heās now 86 and still going, although beginning.to slip.
That is rare though.
I do not have an image of the woman without ciagrette in her hand. She would light one off the other.
There were no non filtered fags in dubai duty free so bought her some other brand. She would snap the filter off and smoke two a time to be able āget a proper draw off themā

Itās whatever works for people. Once you kick it, thatās all that matters. Me myself, I was done smoking and just stopped. Once I was through the first month I never looked back.
Met someone recently though who was back them. Sheād been off them for 20 years. That still terrifies me.
The mad uncle smokes pouch tabacco but, still, a large part of his pension goes on it.
I get the reason in trying to tax it out of existence, recoup tax to contribute to medical costs fags cause etc
But do feel there should be some dispensation for those elderly who have fuck all and a fag brings bit of contentment.

I remember if somebody gave you a silk cut blue or similar youād pull the filter out with your teeth, tear half off lengthways and put it back in 
That worked for me 18 years ago. I think you need to be really ready to give them up for Allenās magic to work.
This woman had to use a ventilator in her final years. Shed slip the mask down, pull on a fag, mask back on and exhale!
I met him once. He was a lovely fella. Massive positive energy for the world

Mate of mine tried the bookā¦great for a few months, then back on them. So he booked a private session with carr. One hour later he bounces out at looked at his limo driver with utter disgustā¦because he was smoking. Never looked back.
