The Underrated Players Thread

Jason Sherlock.

He has been playing great stuff for the last 14 years. I don’t think he gets the credit he deserves.

A legend.

Legend?

Hardly.

Deccie Meehan.

He doesn’t get the credit because he’s a bit of a cunt.

Always seemed like an alright sort to me.

Hurling:

No not really.

Meehan hasn’t been around as long as Sherlock. Both have one All Ireland I think. 1995 and 2001.

Meehan wasn’t on the 1998 team. May have been on the panel.

What’s that based on?

So, longevity is what defines a legend?

Hardly underrated. Player of the Year one year.

Him modelling/selling towels on the box with Sean Og for a start.

So are we talking legends or are we talking about underrated players, or are we talking about players who lasted longer than others? What are the criteria here farmer?

In some part.

Would still consider him underrated, doesn’t get half as much plaudits as some of his teammates…

Flesh that out a little?

Look at the title of the thread!

But you said Deccie Meehan isnt underrated because he’s not been around as long as Jason?

Longevity of performance
Ability
Medals
Etc etc
