The VAR Thread

Strange decision there in the United game. Clear handball allowed for Middlesbrough

Chaos here in Turin. Penalty for inter (for nothing). Saved and bundled into the net. Blows for a foul but there was no foul. VAR again. No foul but De Ligt was in the box so it has to be retaken. A plethora of yellow cards. Retaken penalty is scored.

Genuinely, you’d wonder if the bookies have been at these lads. It’s really hard to explain otherwise.

This VAR thing is a pure cod.

Betting has all sport ruined. And non sports

They check every goal for offside. Why not check that one.

It seems very very odd.

Given the goal was incorrectly ruled out it should be added to the score retrospectively and we can all move on.

That’s a shocking call.

This VAR thing really isn’t working

someone in the VAR control room had to have said the check was done or that their initial view was it wasnt needed. So can only assume that it was someones human error (or as flatty says, money influenced) to not hold up play to do the proper check.

The same lad stopped the video clip at the end in most prejudicial way for the Jones red.

That’s two very one sided interventions from VAR

TBF Var won LiVARpool a Champions League and a Premier League, these things work themselves out

Jones was a red card.

Joking aside, I don’t think it was a clear error. His foot bounced off the top of the ball.
As an aside, Gary Neville is a cunt.

I think an investigation into any irregular financial transactions involving match officials and their connected persons is warranted.

Even if you accept it was an error they quickly knew they made an error and didn’t correct it.

Liverpool hardly deserve a days luck anyway after they tried to set Man City’s bus on fire

These things even themselves out.

Spurs will get their bus burnt down the next time.
