I wouldnât mind Kobe going playing Soccer in England but to lose him to that shite Aussie Rules is a pity.
Thatâs some blow to mayo. I watched him play a few times. He didnât strike as a lad whoâd thrive in Aussie rules. He could really play football. I thought theyâd want more of an athlete.
Itâs a disaster for Mayo but heâs dead right to try it out.

When they fleeced Laois for 3 in 2003 and and came looking for more, something should have been in place then as a means of regulating and compensating. Itâs a great opportunity but there should be a facility for some degree of compensation. Not enough for it to be a barrier for the players as itâs a wonderful opportunity for them, but certainly to give something back to the GAA Club. AFL is a wealthy sport, itâs shown this by the amount of money being put into WAFL, the tv deals are only increasing, the GAA slipped up here.

Heâs signing as a rookie at 17 years of age. Odds heavily favour him being back in Ireland by the time heâs 20, with 3 years of pro level conditioning under his belt. Mayo should be paying them.
