I’ve no real interest in afl. Their is athleticism is impressive but that’s really it. It’s somewhere where between rugby league and basketball for me.
It’s a huge pity for mayo to lose this lad. He looked like a lad who’d really attract people to the game. He could really play.
Its only a matter of time before the FRC change the scoring system to mirror the old International Rules one - 6 pointer for a goal, 3 pointer for an ‘over’ and 1 pointer for kicking it wide

Lads dont want to be in a stadium beforehand, its not the GAA way. They want pints and craic. Its simply how it is. The Minor game got a few in, but they were generally the supporters of those sides, and a few lads who’d start strolling in for the second half.
Its better that the competing counties have access to the more tickets, than the minor counties.
The GAA could try do more, but you’ll still get lads getting that last pint in ahead of the game.
I would put the jubilee team on at half time though, its such a simple thing.
You could also considering closing the gates 40 minutes before throw in. That’ll get them in.
He’s well able to run. Probably around 6’1 or 6’2 already. At 17 he’ll probably grow another couple of inches on top of that. Heading over at 18 as well gives him plenty time to adapt to the Sherrin. Lot of lads headed over there when they were a few years older.
