🌬 The Weather Thread Part 3

Solid test of the insulation in some houses

Ah, so it seems, mea culpa. You’d think they’d just leave them all as red so.

43 houses out in Sutton from 24 January to 1 February. Shit got real. In fact it looks like they are up at the summit and the Baily and would be some of the most exposed houses in the country.

Will they burn some peasants for heat?

For those with the mandatory electric gates it’s advisable to leave them open in advance of approaching storms. Nothing as bad as having to carry shopping 300mtr up the driveway on your tod.
Fortunately the gamekeeper was alert to this and everything is running smoothly here.

Could you not just set off the manual release?

Inishbofin looks fine on that map so either (a) the whinging worked or (b) they are indeed being neglected and I will have to eat my words.

I haven’t heard Tory mentioned at all, I wonder if anyone is still alive out there.

If Micheal Martin decided that restoring electricity to homes would be dependent on whether the people in those homes voted Fianna Fail I think there would be a lot of people on here who would support that.

Why bring sense or logic to it……

Met Éireann are in danger of desensitising us to bad weather when they and other met offices are categorising every gust of wind that comes our way as a “storm”.

There was only one actual storm last weekend, and that was Eowyn. The gusts that came our way Monday were bizarrely categorised as “Storm Herminia” with Ivo to follow.

CENSOR THEM!!!

Are there not different categories of storms?

It’s fine to give a yellow weather warning, like was given on Monday, but surely it could not be categorised as a storm, it was blustery but not wild.

What level of storm was it categorised as?

The reaction to various weather warnings really expose the lads who need things spoon fed to them every time.

Yellow warning.

Do you think it might have been stronger in parts of Ireland that you werent in?

'Tis gas all the same to see the self styled believers in WORK, HARD WORK calling for people to NOT do their jobs.

No. It was a yellow warning given for the whole country.
