Great to hear, I hope your native Waterford survives.
don’t apologise to me you little bollox, get a dictionary
Delighted Dunmore East is getting a battering. I got a shit dinner there one evening.
could you not have ordered something more appetising?
Do you have to plug him in first?
Name & shame.
Not the place nearest the water in that picture. Further up on the right. If I was to guess at the name I’d say The Spinnaker.
That would be the Spinnaker.
Given these extreme weather events are going to become more and more prevalent now with climate change, there’s going to have to be a lot of thought put into flood mitigation now.
Tis’ a fine wet and stormy night here in the West. It’s nothing unusual for us rural folk though. Mercifully I can access the shed where I have a cow about to calve. I have a box set of The Sopranos running for the N th. time…
I’d be a fan of Tony Soprano, despite him not knowing anything about cattle.
I might name the calf (if it’s a bull calf that is) after you Fitzy if that’s all right…
Power gone here in a big way. Transformer, not the robot in disguise kind, blew up in field next to house. Huge explosion and a flash of light that lit up the whole room despite curtains and black out blinds on windows. Went out there and pole is on fire now. Top piece holding the wires fell off with another bang and blast of flame. So fuck that, getting out of there. Right craic in sunny south east tonight.
Bring any spirits you can access with you, preferably whiskey, it’ll keep the heat in you.
I’m assuming that’s a tip for when you go out to the shed to your cow. Fuck that staying out watching an ESB pole burn to the ground, my bed is keeping me warm now.

Dramatic GMan, I do hope you and yours are all safe.

Boxty, it would be an honour and might I say, a privilage. Indeed, how appropriate, given my universally famous temper…
On a more positive note, as a great believer in the law of averages I am predicting a drier than average summer to follow this wetter than average winter.
