True but the canal skating is dog rough cross country whereas the indoor speed skating is on almost synthetic ice. I was asking a Dutch guy yesterday whether the big race would take place this year. He wasn’t sure if it was icy enough, that it hadn’t taken place for a few years but that if it did, the whole country would stop for it.
