The father, who was an amateur meteorologist,used to rail against the GAA playing their finals in September for just this reason, storms. They were far more prevalent in September due to the equinox. He was correct of course and the move to August finals will have a huge bearing on the quality of the spectacle.
Waterford county board also took heed of his advice by playing county finals in November
Would the weather have had much of a bearing on the result of many all irelands in last 20 or 30 years? Cant remember any that had absolutely horrendous weather in recent times.

that make/model of car has a reinforced wing mirror which would easily hold the load of a decent sized tree.
