I can confirm that Ellen reached Linerick city some 15 minutes ago. More reports will be shared as we get them…

I have to go to work in tipp tomorrow :face_with_head_bandage:

Picking up now in the Capital of Culture

One of the back boards from the BB Court gone missing/flying but other than that just a typical November.

Strong gusts there now lads! They could do damage

an absolute non event in Clare, more rte hysteria, the country in an awful way with the way news is reported

I got no power!

At least 195,000 homes and businesses are without power this morning after Storm Ellen swept over Ireland last night.

According to the ESB’s Power Check website, which monitors faults, there are scores of faults across the country with counties Cork, Tipperary, Westmeath, Longford and Limerick worst affected.

An estimated 40,000 homes and businesses are without power in Co Cork, 35,000 in Co Tipperary, 20,000 in Co Westmeath, some 15,000 in Co Longford and around 12,000 in Co Limerick.

A few branches down in the garden got fair wild around 4am here electricity didn’t go but there’s an outage not too far from us.

wasnt half as bad as predicted ffs.

Nah, that was a doozer.

Going to be a rough day with more wind this evening. The heavy rain is the next issue.

A few heavy gusts - not a status red anyway. You Irish get very overly dramatic about a bit of weather… I suppose I have lived through a hurricane so i’d take a bit of wind in my stride.

I’ve never seen so many trees down as this morning.

Make like a tree and split.

Don’t you mean make like a tree and leaf?
You’re mixing your metaphors.

West Limerick left untouched by Ellen.
Because God doesn’t shit on his doorstep.

Sun splitting the stones here in alderley edge.
