I thought similar, got a consistent 26 degrees away from Coasts today but have to say it felt much hotter.
2006 is the last BH in June I remeber as glorious.
It must be systematic of how infrequent we get a decent spell cos a quick google search tells me we were hitting 30’s in the last week of June in 2018.
