Larry : So⌠what did John score there? âŚpause⌠you got 2 John. They were tough today John.
I was listening to a Just a Minute type quiz on 98Fm in the taxi on the way to work this morning. Your man was hopeless. He was asked what the two colours of Scotland were. He said blue and yellow! At the end when they were totting up his score they decided to âgive him the Scotland one as I have heard people say blue and yellow before!â

Global warming definitely exists, but I have always believe it was completely overblown and was going to be used as a source of power and revenue making by governments and a new âindustryâ by the likes of the oil barons who are in their way out.
I also believe the weather of the past few years in just a cycle that has been happening forever but weâre inly more aware of everything due to media access.[/quote]
This post really disappoints me Kev.
Name A part of the body that is a town in Kildare?
kilcock.
For the Wexicans:
Willie Goodison is the only man to have played in a Leinster minor football final having been married at the time.
Nicky Rackard was on the winning senior football team of 1945, as was Goodison.

Arsehole/a thigh (Athy).
Why ever so?
I would have thought that someone like yourself would accept the voluminous scientific research behind anthropogenic climate change.
I
I do accept it. I just think itâs always been changing an our effect and what we can actually do about it is completely over blown, not by scientists, but by government and big business.
Alternative cycles have also been reported, as mentioned above by others. Totally unrelated to human interference.

That doesnât make any sense Kev - you accept the scientific evidence that human induced climate change is happening, but you then think its part of some undefined natural cycle, of which there are some alternatives, not influenced by human activity?
It does make sense.
- Scientist believe the climate is changing, most believe some of this is man created, some is a natural cycle.
- Many scientists say itâs too hard to look too far ahead and predict much of what may happen, they simply donât have enough data over a period of time yet. This group disagree with other scientists who are more definitive in whatâs ahead. Personally I donât think anyone truly knows, they canât.
- People with vested interests roll out the more dramatic scientists when they need them. Many of the more dramatic loud voices are in fact not scientists at all, not to mind environmental ones.
- already there are some revealing signs that there has been a lot of exaggerating of the crisis.
There is an ever changing cycle of weather etc, thats undeniable. Have humans affected it and altered it somewhat, of course they have. Iâm not sure why you find that all too hard to see. By extension of me thinking what we have affected on the climate being over stated, I think the affect we can have On fixing it is limited enough too. Hence my total sceptism on anything, especially governments and corporations, pushing climate change too much.
Mary Dunne, the dancing lady of OâConnell Street was buried yesterday.
Never heard of her.

Fact is, we only have approx 120 years of records to work off. This cannot be enough to accurately predict ever changing weather itâs too small a sample.
8,000 years ago the Pacific Ocean was 2 degrees warming than it is today.
In the years 950- 1250 AD temperatures rose significantly (the medieval warm period) before falling away to much lower levels. From 2012 to 2013 to Arctic ice caps recovered by 29%.
Itâs all cyclical.

Jaysus, that much? That would be better than anyone would have hoped for.

Can you post up credible links on this stuff? Would be interested to read it.
No, Iâd rather just throw out random facts in isolation which appear to back up my case.
Before your time then @Bandage, but she was an inoffensive sort god bless her, all she wanted to do was sing songs, recite prayers alound and dance her little dances. A shock to the system the first time a wet behind the ears culchie crossed her path mind you.
