Things I learned today (Part 1)

Hitler didn’t commit suicide he lived out his days in Argentina.

You seem to be obsessed with hating on black people, I’m sensing a big theme here

You must have been reading a load of Stefan Molyneux tweets recently

You hate Arabs, right?

Hardly just the USA. The murder rate is 4.9/100,000, a good bit higher than most of Europe obviously. Mexico is 21.5 and close to 100 in parts of central America. The drug trade is obviously a huge factor.

How many black personal friends do you have?

Please do explain your logic for this claim

No, Jews.

More lies. At the end of the day that’s your level of debate, lying and then denying you lied.
Stick to boards.

You hate Jews, mate - you explicitly push neo-Nazi talking points

You should probably make that clear before you make any more posts on boards.ie

More lies.
I don’t post on boards.ie unlike you.

boards.ie has a much more intelligent level of conversation about US politics than here, but that wouldn’t be hard - it’s 100% because you’ve dragged this place into the gutter with your explicitly racist shite

Yeah, you just have an unhealthy fascination with the place, but sure you don’t post on it “count dookoo”

Mandatory minimum sentencing surely plays a role, if you are facing 20+ years in jail (possibly for fuck all in three strike states) all of a sudden you’ll be willing to cross a line to prevent that and shoot your way out. Ireland has the other extreme, sentences so light criminals aren’t a bit bothered by a few months inside. Theres a happy medium

Does that have to be three felonies? I presume they are quite serious crimes and you’d have to be a committed criminal to commit three?

Are you having another glenshane delusion?

@glenshane won’t be happy that you’re calling him deluded. And he after giving you all that moral support.

One of your most accurate ever posts on this forum, to be fair, though there aren’t many to choose from.

It varies, usually there has to be one violent crime, but not all states have that stipulation, an example from Wikipedia

One application of a three-strikes law was the Leonardo Andrade case in California in 2009. In this case, Leandro Andrade attempted to rob $153 in videotapes from two San Bernardino K-Mart stores. He was charged under California’s three-strikes law because of his criminal history concerning drugs and other burglaries. Because of his past criminal records, he was sentenced 50 years in prison with no parole after this last burglary of K-Mart. Although this sentencing was disputed by Erwin Chemerinsky, who represented Andrade, as cruel and unusual punishment under the 8th Amendment, the Supreme Court ruled in support for the life sentencing.[

The three strikes rule is absolutely justified for crimes of violence, like rape, armed robbery involving violence, etc. It’s not like people are being typically being locked up for life for petty theft.

See above. Yes there has to a long custodial sentence for violence, but combined with thefts and drug possessions for decades of a sentence…
