Things I learned today (Part 1)

“Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy” is a fucking retarded name for the bridge. Have ye no women down there ye could have named it after if that’s what they wanted?

Ursullas gap.

Be grand until it collapses.

Avril Doyle bridge

An ego and sense of entitlement that spans the barrow

Mrs Brian Cody would be a great name for bridge . She has connections with both counties .

Anne Doyle Bridge

That way you could go up on Anne every day

The Davy Fitzgerald bridge, he’ll be over and back across it enough

Stupid name. Think I have said it before here, but there is an absolute obsession with New Ross naming everything after JFK or some other Kennedy. Its ridiculous. Whatever bout touristy type things and them trying to bring tourists from America to the region, but a fucking bridge isnt going to bring yanks in to look at it. The area where it has been built is known as the Pink Rock and thats what the majority of people or those involved in the process wanted it called. Just made sense really and it is a bit of a unique name too.

That shoulda been a tap in, they just needed to come up with a good hashtag and get the gays behind it.

Post reported.

Personally I’d have gone with The Barrow Bridge.

Wonder who’ll get the contract for tarring it? :money_mouth_face:

The railway bridge down stream at Great Island going to Campile is already called the Barrow bridge.

A grand day for the TFK misogyny crew.

They should change that to The Three Sisters Bridge with it going to be a cycling route now.

I don’t know why they all didn’t just consult with me. You think they’d know better by now.

If they went with you with the proposals you said above, you’d find a way to argue with them and tell them they are wrong!

No buddy. I never joke about the naming of important water crossings that might save me 20 minutes on the drive from Letterkenny - or at least mean I don’t have to drive through Rosbercon.
