The Nore only splits off after New Ross and it’s only about 200m north of where the Suir splits off towards Waterford.

The water of the three rivers flows by right there and the Nore river empties it’s waters into the sea where a lot of your shite got dumped into it over the years.

I think bridges in cities need a name, so you can say oh I’ll meet you at o’connell Bridge or you’ve to go over Samuel Beckett bridge to get there or whatever. But it is fairly bizarre to name a bridge for which there can be no confusion alright

They tried to rename the aptly named “Shannon Bridge” in Limerick after JFK a few years ago but thankfully that decision was met with enough opprobrium that the plan was quietly shelved.

I’d agree in most cases but a pro-paedophilia stance is a tough one to accidentally fall into. The fact that Humphries used the GAA to enable his abuse and DÒg still thought he was a grand lad should make them more wary of endorsing him.

I’d agree, but I suspect humphries had spun him a yarn, and we all know just how good humphries is/was at storytelling. He is/was a great sportswriter. The whole thing has been so tragic for all involved it’s time for it to stop dragging people into the abyss. Dog’s sin was one of loyalty.
