There is a smashing reztaurant called o neills bistro halfway between tipp town and cashel. Gorgeous.

Glasgow was founded in the 6th century by a welshman, St Mungo (no less).

Yes there is a park named after him, Mungo Park.

He’s also had a hospital named after his for strange and magical maladies I believe.

The main Catholic secondary school in Glasgow is called St Mungo’s Academy. Up near Celtic Park where a lot of current and former Celtic players were educated.

Sorry that was a little joke. Mungo Park was a Scottish explorer. His descendants lived in a big house in Howth that they sold to esteemed Dublin solicitor Arthur Cox, for whom it was the matrimonial home he shared with his wife Una O’Higgins who was in turn the widow of Kevin O’Higgins.
