I’d say that 50% figure is plain wrong.
Lefties do sometimes benefit because it can be awkward to compete with them due to their style of doing everything the oppositway. A southpaw in boxing can be famously awkward to deal with.
I’d say that’s an American stat skewed by ice hockey or baseball stats - or something bizarre like that.
