Hitlers father was christened Alois Schicklgruber. He changed his name in 1877 to Alois Hitler. Adolf considered this to be a very eminent stroke of good fortune as Heil Schicklgruber would not have had the same ring to it.

Swing Low was first sang at Twickenham when future Rugby League star Martin Offiah played in the Middlesex Sevens tournament in 1987. It gathered steam as an anthem for the English team when another black player, Chris Oti, scored a hat-trick against Ireland in 1988.

Bluetooth got its name because Jim Kardach who invented it was reading a book about Vikings which featured the second king of Denmark Harald Bluetooth.

When the Americans were preparing for D Day and the invasion of Europe they built a mock up of a town to practice street fighting. They called it Schicklgruber.

A generous splash of it is adding 200 calories to a stir fry or what have you. My mind is literally blown.

Did you think fried chips were as healthy as boiled spuds?

Iā€™d rarely eat either so wouldnā€™t have spent that much time thinking about it.
