Things I learned today (Part 1)

That’s the same door I’m still here

Did you sand it or just paint over it. You’re not breaking this down too well for us.

This stuff requires no undercoat , water based and dries rapid

How long did that take you?

I had an awful time painting my windows. Couldn’t get it looking right where the window meets the wall / window frame.

25 minutes to first coat /25 second coat, 20 minutes to mask off
Came back this morning to top up 5 minutes

Use the stuff i uploaded is my advice

Beautiful… but tough!

Sudan is the country on earth with the most pyramids

Did you not have to sand it first? Or had you already sanded it?

Why do you put these making strips on each corner?

@Biff_Egan shampoo made from cow urine. Would you consider this as a Christmas gift for the wife instead of the pillows?

You’re certainly moving through it smoothly and it looks topping (from the road).
I wouldn’t be overly enthused by the finish that water based paint provides. The remains of the sanding are visible upon close inspection and that would be a no/no from me.
You said yourself there the project took about 90 minutes (30/30/30) and collect.
I’m not critising your work but that wouldn’t pass at the gatelodge to the Boxtyeater’s pad.
I’ve said before here that the paint selection, while easy worked, quick drying and we’ll applied isn’t for me. But if as @Massey says, you trousered €200 good luck to you.
Everywhere you find an ass- ride it.

I sanded it , but on a normal door on a half decent state a light rub down medium paper will suffice, dust it off , mask bobs your uncle

That shiny enough? Water based with undercoat , water based is a winner for everyone, clean , dries quickly , no panic if spilt:and you’d get great west from a brush: if forced to use oil based gloss i shag away the brushes, only been caught 3/4 times to use gloss pat long while it’s bloody horrible

Winner alright. A tremendous job, you’re vindicated. Some man for the one man. :pint:

Noting you’re a dab hand at the painting and like Street art, have you ever used wheatpaste on say a gate or back garden wall? Often contemplated giving it a bash but not gone beyond there with the idea
