Mayo, Leitrim, Roscommon and Sligo all voted against Tony Keady’s appeal back in 1989
Rules are rules.
And there’s no one as quick to remind you of that as the neighbours.
I don’t see the issue with O Brien. I think its fantastic someone puts money into Irish sport, no matter what the level.
I think the concern with him in particular is that combined with media interests it is buying him a certain level of unseen influence and control over Irish society and political life and that influence is not necessarily a benign influence. It is probably over stating it but people look for an agenda. Perfectly possible there is no agenda at all.
Its hardly that different to the money pumped into Limerick GAA by another benefactor?
We’re talking a National scale here, its entirely different.
Oh I know what people think, but only an individual can decide themselves to be fooled by people. He is powerful and no doubt manipulative, but at least he puts something back. As opposed to our thieving banks, politicians and the likes of U2
And cunts are cunts. Cunts.:mad::mad::mad:
Money has always had undue influence in Ireland, and will for the foreseeable future.
ISIS stands for Israeli Secret Intelligence Service
A tax exile being lauded for “putting something back”. Well fuck me.
Eh Kev - O’Brien dodged a massive CGT bill on the sale of Esat to O2 by getting around the residency rules. Almost 50 million worth. He’s no knight in shining armour.
He’s a bully boy cunt.
Fucking cunts, still it was that crooked west brit cunt denton that screwed us over ultimately
never ever forget it
never ever forget it
As for those sheepstealers, curlew cunts and the whipping boys… fuck them, may they’ll wallow in self pity for next 1000 years.
All Ireland winning Offaly manager Diarmuid Healy, had been a priest in the 1970s
Whats more astonishing is that @caoimhaoin praised U2!! I would wager U2 gave more back to this country than O Brien ever fucking did.
