I first of heard of it on a forum for detached retina sufferers. Loads of American women in their 50s and 60s were worrying about whether they would be able to play pickleball ever again.

It seems like a brilliant game in terms of social mixing. I’m not being facetious when I say it’s the exact sort of thing America needs. It seems to fulfil the niche previously occupied by bowling leagues as documented by the book “Bowling Alone”.

Recreational sport and the social connections it generates is a major thing America lacks as a society.

Massive with footballers. Klopp had 2 padel courts build at AXA training centre in the last year. The most rising sport in the world at the moment.
