Kermode and Mayo have left BBC and now have their own podcast, part free, part subscription. They seemed part of the BBC furniture, even with Mayo’s departure from Radio 2.

And another brother called Francis who is a professional also. Got all this info from a great twitter account someone on here provided where his father starred. Plenty of Irish blood in them too.

Ireland has seen a doubling in HIV cases for 2022 compared to 2021, but has also seen a drop in transmissions occurring within Ireland.

Not sure how to square that circle.

I met an Argentinian auldish fella over there this summer. Dickie MacAllister. Mad man for GAA.

Fair few Irish emigrated out there. There’s a small population of them who speak with a Midlands accent. A lot of them taught by the Christian brothers as well. I recall a coach for Los Pumas about 10 years ago by the name of Santiago Phelan.

Brown who was centre back on the 1986 World Cup winning team was of Irish extraction.

There is a Hurling Club in Buenos Aires. I don’t actually think they play hurling there any more but they did. We were due to go down there about 30 years ago to play an exhibition match. One of the lads brothers was ambassador there. But we couldn’t get our shit together.
