You’ve obviously missed all the good news stories surrounding the league. BT sports are broadcasting Dundalk games live in the UK and 8 ex-LOI players were in the Ireland squad in France.
I doubt the league has ever had a higher profile home and abroad.
Both of the title chasing teams were far away from home against teams with nothing to play for, so it’s daft using those attendances as a stick to beat the league with.
On Sunday night on RTE2 a LOI game was broadcasted live in front of a packed house, that doesn’t fit into the “nobody is interested in the league” narrative you are clumsily trying to push here.
On a Monday night most people would have to take a day off work or finish early. Midweek crowds are always worse.
I note you still haven’t found time to comment on the full houses at other grounds and the unprecedented amount of live games involving LOI sides televised throughout Ireland and Europe now.
It’s not the point really at all. You’ve been caught talking bollocks and are now attempting to turn this into yet another tedious GGA v soccer debate.
Stop Matty. You are trying to big up a league where less people show up on title deciding night than you’d get in the Odeon in Coolock on a wet Tuesday
I’m not trying to big up the league at all Fagan, just taking issue with your assertion that nobody is interested in the league. Of course there are teams struggling badly, like my own beloved Shelbourne.
But there are plenty of good news stories around too that you are conveniently ignoring.
