THIRTEEN Rangers fans were diagnosed with swine flu yesterday as Scotland’'s tally hit 42.
The stricken fans had travelled on a supporters bus from Dunoon, Argyll, to the league decider against Dundee Utd at Tannadice on May 24.
They were among 23 new cases confirmed as health secretary Nicola Sturgeon announced a flu response control centre had been set up.
Plumber Scott Macdonald, 43, of Dunoon, revealed he and daughter Molly, 13, both have the virus.
She is a third-year pupil at Dunoon Grammar School and her entire year are being kept at home as a precaution.
Scott said: “I wasn’t on the supporters’ bus but my cousin was and I saw him after the game and that’s when Molly and I must have caught it.”
Molly’s mum Frances, 34, and sister Elle, 10, “probably” have swine flu.
Scott caught the virus from his cousin Gordon Campbell, 24, whose dad Colin, 58, is also infected.
Staff at the Royal Bank of Scotland branch in Dunoon - where one of the Rangers fans works - were told to stay at home yesterday.
