I’ve noticed that I’m beginning to develop a worrying habit of typing gibberish grammar in sentences as my previous post on this thread shows. Feel free to respond with sarcastic comments, anybody, somebody.
Interesting that Enda McNulty is considered a guru by some when it comes to instilling mental strength in teams. I remember him doing some really stupid things in key matches for Armagh - eg the time he pulled Cosgrove’s jersey for the last second free in 2002 which 8 times out of 10 would have been scored, and a crazy pass across his defence in '06 against Kerry which Darren O’Sullivan intercepted and goaled, killing off Armagh’s chances when they’d got a six point deficit down to two and were looking like getting a draw at least. His brother’s mistake in 2001 against Galway was just as bad.
Well in this case the Marian lads wouldn’t know too much about him so after I told them that Armagh won their first AI against all odds and he was a pivotal member of the team they were impressed and inspired and sure that had the desired effect. It’s not rocket science really, it’s just convincing lads they can beat the opposition.
