Bullshit. I own the road.
Starting off carelessly on a multi-ply toilet roll and having the different sheets that make up a single wad unravelling at inconsistent pace. Often results in difficult tearing as the perforated seam intervals are not united and it can lead to central tearing too where the inner ply does not unfurl uniformly and you get a half stripe of toilet roll in your hands. Very unsettling.
Anyone watch The Committee Room, RTE’s new Championship magazine programme on Wednesday night?
What a load of aboslute shite. Marty Morrissey presenting asking the same boring, bland questions to Ciaran Carey, Colm Keys, Enda McNulty and Brendan Maher.
Responses included:
‘I suppose’
‘I miss the thrill of the opening round of the Championship’
‘I’m sure the lads will do well without me but I’d love to be out there’
‘Sports psychology is becoming a large part of the game these days’.
Then throw in some comments by Marty about the agenda being finished and the Committee Room being closed.
Muck.
Eugene McGee and the likes will be happy as they have been saying for years that “GAA fans are crying out for a midweek discussion/magazine show”.
Something that meets their own mediocre stadards of analysis presumably.
If there’s one section of the public sector which should be reformed it’s RTE’s GAA coverage. Morrissey is OK as a commentator but he should be stopped from doing anything beyond that.
All RTE’s attempts at doing programmes liken this have been rubbish apart from one - which was inexplicably axed.
Breaking Ball?
si
UTV used to do a good one back years ago. Adrian Logan presented it. Four or five lads around chatting - not much more to it. That’s what I like in those type of shows.
It was called End to End. I wouldn’t say it was brilliant but it was definitely watchable. Logan isn’t even employed by UTV anymore which shows you how much they give a shit about GAA. RTE would be well advised to get some of these Ulster lads in to freshen things up. Jerome Quinn for instance. The Ulster lads are usually much more articulate than the free staters. Brolly and Tohill on RTE for instance.
I would agree with that. They seem to have more push and energy about them than the Ralph Lauren shirt and jacket over brigade of the current RTE crop.
I watched the BBC coverage of Donegal and Antrim at half time with McHugh and Burns. Infinitely better than RTE’s.
What’s the name of the show they have on TG4 with the illuminous green couch? That’s not a bad effort
Is that with Sean ‘I have an opinion on everything’ Bán Breathnach and Dara O’Cinnéde?
Can’t say I have ever watched it properly.
Seo Spoirt is the one you’re on about I think
That’s the one I think. I don’t take much notice of Sean Bán but Dara seems like an alright sort. They seem to concentrate on the games and performances rather than the controversial incidents. Not to many egos on show unlike many of the cunts on the Sunday game
Yeah Dara is one of RTE’s better analysers alright.
Gimps in work going on a conference call at 5.30 on a Friday evening. Get a fooking life.
Dickheads that slam on the brakes in front of you because they’re trying to read a big fuck off map while driving.
Sean Ban is an utter utter cunt tard of a man.
RTÉ’s caption writers, the one under the picture of McNulty and Glen Ryan to be precise http://www.rte.ie/sport/gaa/championship/2011/0522/2122may.html
