The US Office is a superb show in its own right, once it got beyond season 1 it really became a different show. As Chewy mentioned above, Dwight Schrute is a superb character, as is the Nard Dog.

People not knowing basic geography.
I was having a conversation with a female as to what county another female (with a Northern accent) was from.
She replied that the Northern lady was either from Armagh or Fermanagh, or on the border between the two.

i find people from the north have a woeful knowledge of the republics geography.
I have experienced this as well with out friends across the Irish sea. The amount of times I was asked is Dublin in the North of Ireland.

I’m clearly highly intelligent yet even I wouldn’t be sure of various muldoon counties’ borders.
Probably a knock on effect of my own urban, modern, chic, suave and sophisticated birthplace and/or current location.

I think everybody should refer to Athlone as “?” from now on as it sums up the slow, quizzical look on the natives’ faces when anybody says anything to them.
The only people who talk to Athlone natives are Guards and Magistrates, so I wouldn’t see this as a big issue.
