Being woken by a text at 8am on a Saturday from Vodafone informing me how many minutes I have left this month.
RTÉ broadcasting live coverage of an egg chasing match between St Mary’s and Young Munster
Jolean Lescott launching his own fashion label.
TG4 showing a hurling relegation match instead of the advertised All Ireland football semi final
Football is being streamed on their website
Not good enough Puke.
Didn’t see this TDB… An amusing coincidence
Did some shopping this morning in Lidl, one of my purchases were a bunch of bananas. I just had one there and I had to spit it out, horrible taste off it and made my mouth feel all dry and weird.
Olympic tennis.
You’re meant to peel them first
For the record, I peeled them first!
http://www.rte.ie/news/2012/0423/man-sentenced-to-12-years-for-manslaughter.html
A man sentenced to 12 years for giving a drunk driver who was endangering his 9 month old daughter a few slaps. He should be getting awards for it.
on the other hand he is wearing a leinster rugby top so there is some element of justice involved.
Fucking hell he beat a fella to death with a hurley and yer man thinks its wrong he got the jail for it!
FFS. The dead man acted like a cunt initially tailgating him and cutting in in front of him but the killer sounds like a complete psycho.
I’d be wary enough driving around the city with lunatics like him around.
The court was told Donohoe took a hurley stick from the boot of his car and hit the Mitsubishi Pajero as it blocked his path, and then hit Mr Bates several times when he got out of the car, including a fatal blow to the left temple as he lay defenceless on the ground.
Witness Emma O’Gorman, who was in a car behind the two men, said she saw Donohoe hitting the front passenger door of Mr Bates’s car for two or three minutes before Mr Bates got out with his hands in the air in a non-confrontational manner. She said Donohoe “looked possessed” and immediately hit the victim with the hurley stick.
Typical rugby supporter.
Your man had 10 pints of Guinness before tailgating the accused and cutting him off at an island. He could well have been said to be acting in self defence. The deceased got up, drove home rotten drunk, and only felt dizzy the following day before slipping into a coma. 1 year would be wrong, never mind 12.
Hit him in the head with the hurl as he lay on the ground, I’m presuming this was the decisive blow in terms of injuring the deceased and in terms of the sentencing. If he hadn’t done that he’d probably have gotten a much lighter sentence.
Just looks like unfortunate timing for two angry men to meet.
I don’t quite agree with TTK but I do think there was a serious amount of provocation here, and road rage is a mad thing, you can lose all reason at the smallest of things let alone some drunken lunatic insulting you and trying to run you off the road with your young child in the back.
