Yes as long as they’re involved in some team sport alls well socially and the contacts kids make in sports lasts a lifetime
Positive way I’d look at this is to reach a final means she’s part of the best 2 teams in the province- no mean achievement
I’m not bothered about the result, I get nervous for her because she’s so much smaller than the others, she plays it safe generally on the ball, doesn’t get huge game time but she’s 23 months underage which is a lot at that age,
No bother catching up for her,
my smallie the same ref age gap in school/ college - sports
Well done to the young lady
Girls are tougher mentally I find ( referencing my own 2) and in general
That’s great. Juhy Junior had a first football tournament yesterday. It was savage craic. All the kids went mental. There were tears and it was carnage( 16 teams of 7 year olds) but they get a huge kick out of it.
Personally speaking I got tremendous craic and heartache aswell watching my kid at the different sports growing up, I hurt and was estatic with him along the journey , to this day I’ve butterflies watching him on the field( especially when they whipped Carrigaline and Corinthians lately )
Makes them mentally tough as long as they’re coaches aren’t loopers and expecting wins every competition
That’s why I admire Tae Kwon dao , it’s 100 per cent not about winning, the sports ethos is v admirable,
During competition if one kid gets a lashing the referees instructions are to all other competitors “ turn around- face away”
While the said kid get attended to - be it dry their tears or wait till they get their composure back, and if they want to proceed so be it
Watched my guy get a black at a young age after a years of perseverance-
He and all the kids were shown respect and vice versa all throughout his time involved, if only some GAA and soccer coaches would behave likewise
The finest of chocolates. Everything you like in an up-market luxury.
Lads are spending a fortune on shitty chocolate, writing little notes and everything,
All to ram it up @backinatracksuit’s hole
Needy lads chasing handy likes
Ah fuckit this is brilliant,
You should take the job with Lindt @iron_mike , that’s nice chocolate
Enjoy the Christmas break pal. You must be burnt out at this stage
You’d be surprised, it’s hard work, but I won’t complain, I love it and it’s not as if I’m down a mine.
I’ll probably get a few boxes of your premium confectionary to regift in a few weeks

I’m sure it is trying to stretch a a twenty hour week out to forty. But sure at least the regifting will take up some of the time
