Things that continue to be right…or things that float your 🐐

@farmerinthecity saw her live in the flesh on her comeback tour in London a few years ago. As I recall he took a set against her because he perceived that she had a measure of disdain for her audience. Which is fair enough and likely to provide a far better gauge of her character than the likes of @Fitzy and @balbec whose views are colored by getting the first stirrings in their nether regions watching Wuthering Heights on Top of the Pops.

As Fagan said, I saw her comeback show in Hammersmith Palace at 120 GBP a ticket. She played about 6 songs and the rest was performance art type stuff which I found massively self indulgent.

each to their own.

I never saw her on Top of the Pops. @balbec is a lot older than me so you’re probably correct in his case.

Didn’t see her either. We only had one channel in those days.

I believe that RTÉ 1 showed TOTP for a spell.

Two withering shites

Did they not show it on that Welsh channel that Wexford people are so proud of?

That never happened.

I think it only came in with rte2 . @Fagan_ODowd is much older than me, he would know.

It was only shown when rte2 came in.

It was TOTP that started the decline of morals in Ireland .

That’s what i was thinking.

It was television generally that led to the decline of morality in Ireland.

I thought it was show bands?

I think the priests were at it long before then,
